Zero Tolerance, Anti-Racism and Inclusion Policy
Andy McCredie Productions Limited (AMP) has zero tolerance of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, sexual harassment, bullying and unlawful discrimination in any production environment. This applies to everyone engaged on an AMP production, including AMP’s Managing Director.
Who and where this applies
The policy covers every rehearsal room, performance space, online meeting, message group, social event and administrative exchange connected to an AMP production, and everyone involved: performers, creatives, access support workers, producers, crew, venue staff, visitors and AMP itself.
Our commitments
Anti-racism. AMP is committed to anti-racist practice across all aspects of production, from casting and contracting to rehearsal culture, marketing and hiring. We work in alignment with the UK Theatre and SOLT 10 Principles for safe and inclusive working spaces in theatre (relaunched in November 2021), which commit the industry to not tolerating bullying, harassment and discrimination, to clear processes for reporting and investigating them, and to protecting people who raise concerns in good faith from reprisal. Read the Principles at uktheatre.org/resource/10-principles-for-safe-and-inclusive-workspaces/
Gender equity. We actively challenge gender disparities in the industry and give everyone equal creative respect, voice and opportunity.
LGBTQ+ inclusion. Our productions are explicitly LGBTQ+-affirming spaces.
Names and pronouns. Using people’s correct names and pronouns, including for transgender and non-binary people, is mandatory in all verbal, written and administrative communication. Everyone can state their pronouns on their own terms, and nobody is required to.
Disability and access. We make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 and treat unmet access needs as a matter for this policy (see our Freelancer-Friendly Policy).

What happens when we receive a report
When we receive a report about anyone other than the Managing Director, we will:
Protect the wellbeing of anyone affected, including any immediate safeguards or adjustments they need.
Investigate promptly and proportionately.
Tell the person concerned the substance of the allegation and give them a fair opportunity to respond.
Reach a reasoned decision and communicate it in writing.
Where a breach is established, we may take proportionate measures up to and including immediate termination of the person’s engagement. Suspension while we investigate is on full pay for scheduled days. Where the matter may be a crime, we will support anyone affected to report it to the police.
Protection from reprisal
Nobody will face reprisal, loss of work or later disadvantage for raising a concern in good faith, supporting someone else, or taking part in an investigation. Nothing in any agreement with AMP stops you from reporting discrimination, harassment or criminal conduct to a competent body, from making a protected disclosure, or from seeking union or legal advice.
