Our Story
Founded by Andy McCredie, AMP supports grassroots artists in the UK across theatre, Dance and Film through fundraising, producing and advocacy.
Originally known as Redgates Theatre, the organisation was supported by BBC Writer’s Room and Bar90, and produced the work of 250+ artists through open call new writing and poetry nights from warehouses in East London.
We are made up of a network of freelance producers, creative freelancers and associate artists built over a decade, led in collaboration with Andy.
AMP has always had a commitment to marginalised communities, with a particular focus on supporting under-resourced individual grassroots artists to have a platform for the early stages of their work.
AMP now focuses on the development of R&D and productions using Arts Council England funding, in-kind support and corporate sponsorship.
We have directly raised £115k in 2026 alone for individual artists through ACE grants, with an additional £98k for small organisations through consultancy.
